I've shouted into the void many times that it seems, from the outside looking in, that a fundamental flaw in the media is that by reporting on Trump accurately they realize it makes him look insane and they are so beholden to the ideal of appearing objective they don't report on him accurately.

The corollary to this also has been that they "need" to generate negative stories about his opponent to offset those parts of Trump's lunacy they simply can't ignore. Either way they have sacrificed accuracy at the altar of *appearing* to be unbiased.

Yes! When he dropped out of his 60 minutes interview, I joked that media would say Harris doing her 60 minutes interview would be unfair, and like, that was a joke, but barely.
