I also want to reiterate that it took every single Democratic Senator to agree to this deal. A single Democratic Senator could have denied unanimous consent, pushed this into Monday, allowed more time for the discontent to fester. Every Senate Democrat is complicit.

but I'm pretty sure those senate dem's who voted for cloture, knew those amendments would fail...
Was it worth it?
We need to break off today. This violation by Schumer and his cronies is unacceptable
There will be no midterms.
The Democratic Party is rotting from the head.
WHY?
Were they amendments to the CR bill?
Do any have a chance to pass?
A sad time for Democrats and democracy.
(Yes i will never forgive her backstabbing Bernie in 2020)
2-There are 2 cloture votes; the time agreement bundled them into 1. Denying UC would have let the 1st go forward but delayed the 2nd, & with enough pressure the 2nd vote may have turned out differently
The entire DemCorp. is complicit.
I'm old enough to remember how quickly AOC of 'the squad' transformed into 'the squat'.

The first one, being voted now, is about the $20 billion in IRS money that's going to be lost because this is a continuing resolution, $20 billion was taken last year, and the House CR doesn't fix it.
That is absolutely the right take.
So delay it and shut down the government for a few days only to have it pass Monday anyway?
That is the worst of both worlds.
All bought & paid for, apparently. We'll remember at the Midterms, fellas.
