Wanda died because I was angry, in 1991, to learn about friends being buried misgendered and deadnamed, and I wanted to tell people that was happening and it was wrong. And because her death made the story a tragedy. (She wasn't too pure for this world. Thessaly's meddling killed her.)

I am not talking about Sandman alone and I am not saying that literally every queer character dies.
I'm talking about all of fiction in the 80s/90s.
That's a textbook example.
But I'll be honest, I don't like Game of You in general, and the whole thing feels that way.
When I first read it, I thought it was cool there was representation and showing Wanda being an amazing person. Now that I am the parent of a trans teen, I will go to war for people like Wanda and Barbie and make sure family like Wanda's
Still think about Sky Funerals... that was such a great story in Worlds End and setup/callback for the Wake.
