Spotify gets paid by advertisers to stream podcasts, whereas they have to pay a royalty to play music. Therefore, they will do anything to push you from music (cost) to podcasts (revenue).
He's been on Spotify for ages, got like the most expensive contract in podcast history (low bar I'm sure but it really was a lot of money) to put his show there. It's why I ditched them.
hahahaha. yeah eveytime they push one of those, there should be an escape hatch button that just takes you to 40 minutes of uninterrupted ambient forest noise instead
