Something we might be underestimating about Mark Zuckerberg becoming more overtly rightwing and going on Rogan is that the dang goofball legitimately explored a run for President a few years back

Here’s the thing that I think all these gross tech billionaires forget: they’re all dweebs. You can say what you want about Trump, but he has the sauce. Nobody is going to die for Zuckerberg the way they do for Trump
Oh God, I didn't even put two and two together. He knows Elon would win the GOP nomination if he was eligible, so it makes sense he would try to re-imagine himself as Musk-like for his Presidential run.
Yeah got to judge people on their actions. Being secretly privately prejudiced in a way that doesn't effect what you do is no big deal, acting like you're prejudiced is a big problem no matter whether you really are or are just faking it for some sick reason
If memory serves, he did a “listening tour” to test the waters while the Democratic Party was in a febrile state post-2016 but dropped it all when he started getting dragged in congress for misinformation.
Trump began crafting his “model of success” brand identity in the late 80’s. Zuck has been trying since the early 2000’s and still hasn’t found a foothold of non-creepiness to build off of. The only one close to the cult of personality status is JFK Jr. and something tells me he’ll sit this one out.
People like Zuckerberg running for president is why I don't hate voters who vote based on intangible vibes
rather than candidates' policies and credentials alone.
When voters reject Zuckerberg because they viscerally feel creeped out by his presence, that is an evolution-borne survival mechanism.
he started a 50 state tour, broke it off about a dozen states in, and I'm convinced it was because he was doing internal polling as he was going, and was seeing his approval crater everywhere he went
