Honestly the whole thing bothers me, Jim's two original movies should not be touched by anyone but Henson or the Henson Company, and Eggers does not have the vibe Labyrinth is.

There have been a ton of comics in the world, but that's a different medium, aiming for something different. I just don't understand what more needs to be done or said that wasn't already done in the movie. And there's no way you repeat the alchemy of '80s Henson/Brian Froud, Terry Jones, and Bowie.

exactly, it's not like anyone is trying to recreate baron munchausen because it's impossible, same with those two of Jim's, I only give Dark Crystal a pass because it was amazing and involved the Henson Company, which is kind of required if you want to explore these worlds.
