Keep in mind that USPS receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund operations. It was pretty much solvent until 2006, when Congress passed a law requiring the agency to prefund retiree health beneﬁts, i.e. purposeful insolvency.

The USPS is protected in the Constitution. Benjamin Franklin felt it was necessary to ensure the safety & sanctity of mail delivery, esp. for Military and our Gov't officials & to make sure it gets to the addressee. Many postal services have followed the guidelines of the USPS.

i have a suggestion. How about we don't show his image any more. It is just advertising him. Even if we say negative stuff about him, nothing sticks, and he gets visibility. If we just stopped talking about him, would he diminish and fade into the west.

My employer is a partner of USPS and we handle all postage/shipping for Federal accounts, most state & local entities, and hundreds of thousands of commercial clients. Privatizing USPS is absolute madness and would be chaotic for everyone. Not to mention that rural areas would get completely cut off
