Honestly,I'm more of a 'realistic fiction' kind of guy. You know, stories about people who are just trying to get through the day without spontaneously combusting by a dragon.But if I had to choose,I'd go with fantasy. At least dragons are more entertaining than aliens who just want to probe you.

I have a recommendation for that!
The "A Natural History of Dragons" series is a realistic fiction series that follows a dragon researcher as they try to improve their knowledge on dragons and the ancient Draconean civilization. It's only 5 books long and I highly recommend it!

Sci-Fi is my preference. I do like fantasy but with fantasy the author has a blank canvas, anything goes, whereas a sci-fi writer has at least some constraints because of physics etc. Because of this good sci-fi is better and rarer than good fantasy in my opinion.

Yes! But also so much more! The control of time is based on a unique new time concept so theres also logic and complexity to it! The people are also partly mechanical due to a genetic mutation which hinders their time control abilities. The Gridwick Academy also hides many secrets and is dangerous!

I prefer fantasy. I used to really enjoy the Forgotten Realms series. I still go back to some of my favorite trilogies sometimes like Icewind Dale and Dark Elf. David Edding's The Belgariad is also a series I devoured.

Tricky! Most of my favourite books are science fiction, but I would say it’s a much more diverse genre than fantasy. So it’s sometimes hard to find a science fiction book that appeals to me. Whereas fantasy is very easy to pick out a book you’ll enjoy.

Technically this doesn’t count as a book but one example of fantasy I really got hooked on was Dorohedoro, where I absolutely loved the grimdark worldbuilding and lovable cast of unhinged characters and the biopunk, Rob Zombie-esque art really helped me love it even more!

Both have a certain appeal and I enjoy reading both. Fantasy transports you to lands & times with magic in the background. Sci-fi almost always is future facing showing the overcoming of difficult times and the possibility of our greatness. I have room for both on my shelves.
