Josh. I implore you. Just make sure you have the connectors for the gadgets you own, and you're FINE. Sure, enjoy having speakers that fit the rest of your furniture, there's literally no other benefit to spending money on hi-fi shit. Stop reading. Let it go.
There's a HiFi sound equipment store downtown a little ways from my house run by a huge nerd. He used to run a bike shop down the street but then he got into speakers and just full sent it into this new shop.
Every time I talk to him I descend a little further down the rabbit hole.
But on a serious note, if the gear you're using works (minimal signal loss, speaker drivers can produce those freqs reliably) then most things can be solved with an EQ.
E.g. My HD700's sound awful even if FLAC -> DAC -> Tube amp. But EQ'd, I *adore* them.

my advice is to check out stuff IRL: friends, stores, hi-fi events. everything will sound good, but what strikes you as great? perhaps most of all, what is *easy to use?*

When you realize no ungodly amounts of caffeine start working, it MIGHT be time to sleep for 12hrs+. A mini hibernation is good for the soul. 😌
