I ain’t at an Ivy anymore, but I teach. Mostly what I notice going on is dealing with AI paper garbage. I can’t stand how people paying good money are cheating themselves.
Too many students today have been told that what they need is the degree for getting jobs, not the learning for being able to understand and continue to learn.
There are two bad myths.
1. School is for jobs.
2. Learning stops when you leave school.
You’re telling me. I learned more this year than I think I may ever have in grad school. That said, grad school WAS pretty eye opening. Just not enough.
