Nope, my son is an attorney there, & he’s not happy about them making a deal, but he loves pro bono, does it all the time, & the agreement states that “both parties need to agree”, so they can refuse any case. Trump got nothing here, except embarrassing them, which was his goal.

How much backbone will they have to disagree to accept a case Trump wants? They have already shown their response to any pressure will be capitulation. How will your son feel when he is forced to give in on something he believes in "for the good of the firm." The road to ruin happens in small steps.

Pro bono work would probably be worse. No other law firm spends as much as they do on pro bono work, & they’re total leftists. Honestly, YOU are promoting Trump with this. Think about it. He wanted you to hate the leftist firm doing the MOST pro bono work, & you do. Just as he planned.

All of this screams that this is a humongous 1st Amendment issue. I don't understand how lawyers, who are literally the main line of defense of free speech, are suckling on an 🍊 teat. That puts them squarely on the authoritarian side and I can only hope people remember who surrendered their rights.
