For instance, we will prioritize basic processes over diagnoses, multimethod/multimodal studies, longitudinal designs over different timescales, and broader representation in the science.

We are reducing the effort to submit, and removing formatting requirements for first submission, and cover letters that duplicate for questions are no longer necessary either.

At the same time, we will be paying more attention to and ensuring greater adherence to open and transparent approaches to science. We can all do better in this and it needs to be a communal effort.
