If Ukraine is forced to surrender its sovereign territory to Russia, it will be the greatest betrayal of a European ally since Poland in 1945.

The UK must lead in Europe in defence of Ukraine. We cannot stand back and watch as Zelensky is bullied by Trump.

Have you not been paying attention? Unlike the government, the LibDems called for the UK to immediately recognise Palestine when Trump made his mad announcement. Trump's madness over Ukraine has just happened: hence the LibDem reaction. Both situations require a strong reaction from the UK 1/2

2/2 Starmer's government isn't go to provide that though. At least one British political party is calling Trump out for the bully he is and saying we should be supporting both Ukraine and Palestine. The LibDems are the only ones who seem to have any backbone at present.

I think the Munich betrayal by Chambelain is a better historical analogy. Poland in 1945 was occupied by the Soviets and aside from a full scale war against the Red Army there was no option but accept its servitude. But Czechoslovakia and Ukraine were/are free democracies before betrayal

We can't "lead in Europe" when we are no longer properly integrated into Europe. US interference in our politics & economy should have been the catalyst for much closer links with Europe, but Starmer is in a state of petrified stasis.

Putin need to leave the former communist bloc countries alone...they have been granted their freedom since the 1980s, when communist Russia collapsed. GOP POTUS Regan was in office. Even he had some influence with Russia. Let Europe freedom ring.centuries of war now they need to go against Chump !
