'You don't really have the powers to not make it happen?'
On #BBCBreakfast Cllr Stephen Atkinson, who was elected to represent Reform UK on Lancashire County Council, was asked about the pledge to prevent migrants being housed in areas where it now controls the council

I don’t believe he is trying to save this future fictional family from homelessness, he just doesn’t want anyone not English housed.
Voted in on promises he can’t make good on.
And he can’t stop landlords renting to whoever they want to.
Performative bullshit, as usual from Reform
That’s a criminal offence, after the Government turned landlords and letting companies into border control.
Made up bullshit, again.
" We can fix everything if you give us total and unconditional power "
A simple “WTF are you talking about?” response would be best.
I see the current system, cost in human misery and taxpayer money, but on the other hand all that lovely outrage to drive people to Farage and lovely, lovely profit opportunities. Sickening.
It shouldn't be either or, all people that need to should be housed. We not a poor third world country, the political will should be there. Let's hope Labour does better than the useless tories
😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one wants "news" that actually inform sadly.
Serco has 7000 properties registered under the scheme, there are approx 5.5million rental properties in the U.K. - or 8.6m if you count social housing.
So no, in context 0.5% is not a large number.
Not sure why you’re comparing the total number of asylum seekers against this, they’re not all housed under this scheme.
