Honestly, if anything, this feels like decades of underfunding and a visibly fraying system held together with parcel tape and positive thinking coming home to roost. If there's a charge against Trump, it's him not doing anything about it 2017-21.

yeah, I mean the DCA incident was truly a freak event and a real outlier when you look at major commercial fatalities — a perfect record since 2009 before that is, frankly, very good considering how much flying gets done every day
