life hack, theres a $2.99 a month plan actually. its ad free, but you have to go to the thrift store and buy a DVD of Blade (1998). you dont get anything else with it, but i dont see what else youd need.

I haven't ever paid for any streaming or subscription services. The last time I paid for cable TV was 1993, when it was $7.50 a month. Now I don't own a TV.
I get free internet as part of a program at my library, which also offers free TV, movies, and books through Hoopla and Kanopy (free apps).

And then every major newspaper post has "Ugh. Paywall!!" comments. You guys pay so much money for your streaming services, but then expect journalists to find their salaries in between the couch cushions so you can access news for free.
