Judge Howell, ruling from the bench, will issue a TRO to keep the status quo in place and prevent Trump from enforcing his EO attack on the law firm of Perkins Coie while she has time to consider the issues.

Perkins Coie is a great firm. If I were not retired and still had my in-house attorney position, I'd be inclined to push some business to Perkins Coie to show my support.
This is good, but to some extent the damage may be done, as Perkins Coie clients with business before the government may worry whether they'll get a fair hearing by keeping the same counsel. Quite a despicable exercise of fascism by Trump.
You are correct to ask. The status quo is that Perkins Coie is losing clients daily, not the time before the EO was issued.
The TRO does nothing to prevent clients from assessing the likely prospect of unfair govt treatment if they have Perkins Coie lawyers, regardless of the outcome.
I appreciate the posts, but any chance you could spell out the legal acronyms, especially for us laypeople, please, and thank you! I work in healthcare, and we make a lot of dangerous assumptions dropping acronyms without spelling them out.
The judges are carefully following the law. They aren’t stupid. They know they have to do everything they can to set these cases up for appeals. One wrong step and the government wins.
"Trump's...technological imperialist/monarchist plans of Elon Musk’s Neo-Reactionary (NRx)...philosophy. NRx is a belief that democracy must be eliminated and the country run under a corporatist, technological dictatorship..."
