Yikes. I am immensely grateful that my AP US history teacher insisted to we needed to learn about the rest of the world in order to understand US history, so we learned about caste and apartheid and resistance and watched movies about Gandhi and Biko.

I graduated in a class of 95 that picked up a few stragglers from two prior years they needed to get rid of. Our social studies teacher was primarily a coach. Lemme tell you that was a painful year, but not as bad as when one of the other coaches was teaching algebra
