HMS is an amazing ship my favorite , we used to own a caravan on the south coast and visited the ship yards many times . The Mary rose is a very good exhibition and has improved over the years.

I was a bit irritated that the first thing the guide pointed out in Nelson's cabin was the portrait of Lady Hamilton >with a snigger< I had to ask about the folding panels fixed up to the ceiling. Lady Hamilton seems to obsess some of the guides.

I suspect the public do ask, but it was the single thing, the portrait of Hamilton - that the guide pointed out as we, the only visitors in the cabin entered. Of all the other stuff around us, the guide explained 'this is Nelson's cabin, where he entertained Lady Hamilton' with a wave to the picture

My uncle worked on the Warrior when it was restored in Hartlepool and we were sad to see it leave, but Hartlepool now has its own permanent museum with the HMS Trincomalee as the centre piece
