Years ago, I had to deal with AD on a criminal appeal. The client had insisted on bringing him in to consult. I can assure you that the only statement of law I heard him make turned out to be completely unsupported by the case law, and he didn’t give a shit when we told him.
I was the very lowest associate on this matter, and I was very intimidated by him . . . but not for long. 100% he never learned my name.
