zero pressure on this, but if you happen to remember, could you lmk what page this appeared on? we don’t seem to have any smartbannner things happening on the form or on buttondown so we’re still looking.
Sorry for causing problems - I've just checked and it goes away if I disable my extensions! I think it might be StopTheMadness causing the issue so I'll report it to the dev.
@kissane.bsky.social https://assemblag.es/@inquiline There are very few people whose names would get me to sign up without knowing what on earth I'm signing up for.
last couple of months have been standing up an organization (we're a project of the Raft Foundation!), setting up processes and structures to support sustainable collective work, and testing out editorial approaches—it feels like such a luxury to do this *before* going out publicly, this time
oh and we're using human care and human brains—not a fucking LLM—to brute-force the knowledge gap, because intimacy with information is what produces understanding and you can write that in my permanent record
Knowledge-building and collective sensemaking about the dismantling and weaponization of the federal government, performed as mutual aid. Less like a newsletter, more like single-purpose Wikipedia, but not actually a wiki. We'll have a lot more to say soon.
Will whatever comes out of this only go to email, or will it also play nicely with RSS readers? (No covert criticism intended! I just am far better at paying attention to my RSS reader than newsletter emails, so I'm asking how to best follow along for my own brain/habits.)
It's going to be an ever-expanding set of pages that each track an "issue" plus various crosslinking thematic stuff, and we'll presumably run a changelog as a blog and email? Or something like that. But the core thing is closer to single-zone wikipedia than to a substack.
Oh but for this exact buttondown thing for the announcement it *should* have an RSS connect, but I will admit that my attention has been elsewhere on the project 😬
There's whole website underway, but the gist is knowledge-building and collective sensemaking about the dismantling and weaponization of the federal government as mutual aid. Less like a newsletter, more like single-purpose Wikipedia, although not actually a wiki. We'll have a lot more to say soon!
Thanks so much for this. For months I’ve been wondering whether anyone has been systematically tracking all the stuff this administration has done and undone, so it’s cool to see that good people are on top of it.
Is it possible to assist? My sibling and I been trying to keep on top of compiling a quasi-database of All The Things. It would be wonderful to band together with others

And I just have to say, I LOVE that logo. Great work
I signed up.
Also I would like to help, if you need people. (expertise areas: climate/energy, general patternmatch witchery.)
I am watching for reinventors for American democracy. Trump, et al is hell bent on destroying our government. We must build back better.
