Also nice for those of us who never drank alcohol to begin with. Yes, I like my Coke Zero, but I like that mocktails are a thing now and I have more options

Note for the upcoming holiday season,,, some of us are on a sobriety journey and mocktails or non-alcoholic beer options make a big difference 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

It's like... No. Don't do that. Any of that.

Congrats on 13 years!
Addiction festers in darkness and the best way to combat it is to be open and honest but without trauma dumping
So the first no is to reaffirm my situation to myself politely
After that, perhaps you need some self introspection so here ya go!
I think people persist sometimes because they want you to feel included or they feel they're being judged somehow.
I appreciate the effort, I guess, but those things still have alcohol, and they taste like a shitty version of what I'd normally go for, so it's best to just.. not.
non-alcoholic beverage options, and i'm pretty sure none of them are anyone's business.
For those who don't know what Schorle is. It's wine mixed with sparkling water, but it can also be done with fruit juice. 1/3 juice of choice, 2/3 sparkling water.
Also great is elderberry sirup mixed with sparking water. That also works well with non-alcoholic sparkling wine/champagne.
If I remember correctly, non-alcoholic cocktails were already available in the late 1990s.
(*This obviously excludes a lot of alcohol that tastes awful and only exists to get people drunk.)
It's a tall glass rimmed with seasoning salt, ice, Mott's Clamato (tomato and clam juice), Worcestershire and Tabasco, garnished with a stick of celery. :)
Ginger ale and root beer.😏
But the non-alcoholic version mixes fruit juice with sparkling water. Usually 1/3 juice 2/3 water. Common is Apple-Schorle, but my personal favorites are Grape or Black Currant.
For a million reasons, they are good things.
I've certainly had some that were weird but what that restaurant is doing is something else.
Also good for when you are the designated driver, or it is a stupidly hot day and you don't want alcohol etc.
So many reasons to have decent alcohol free drinks.
When my wife and I were in Montreal, I had the best mocktail of my life at a restaurant called Barroco.
You can fairly judge the quality of a restaurant by how good their mocktails are.
It’s nice that there are more options now!
