I always liked when I'd write at least a short phrase, sometimes more than one sentence, and yet somehow get the "did you want to say anything?" notification/warning. Like . . . ouch
You could like your own post and get a notification that you had a new like, only to discover it was you because, during those five seconds, you forgot you did it
so many glitches were kept in the early days because people decided they liked them and bit his hand like a rabid possum every time he tried to fix it. ~memories~
I certainly wouldn't know, just imagine being the sort of person that would repost one's own posts, it simply doesn't bear thinking about, does it? How those people must live their cheap and tawdry lives, just ghastly. Ghastly, I say.
I was pretty chuffed on the old site the first time I told like TCruz or GAbbot or whoever to go die in a fucking fire and I got an auto message saying "are you sure?most people don't send messages like this"
honestly i would be happy with a change to the app where you are allowed to like your own post and it shows that you have liked your own post but it doesn't count for anything and no one but you can see it
because i absolutely think anyone who likes their own posts is weird and will call it out lol
On one level I agree with you but the self-post-likers I notice are almost always also cheese brained libertarians doubling down on their transphobia in the replies
