My ex Bills golden retriever used to steal shoes and flip flops the neighbors left on their porches at night. They'd wake up to at least one new one every morning on their porch.
Lol I never understood how specific things will appeal to us. What makes a group of people mentally attracted to geology or math. What is it in our brains that flips our interest switch, whether temporarily or permanently?
We have Nemo, but he doesn't seem to care for rocks. He did bring me a brown rock once but Jasmine yelled not to touch it, that it was Captain's. I didn't want to be an accomplice to theft so I told him to bring it back.
In her youth, our Aussie Casey used to bring in leaves, then pebbles, from the backyard to "trade" for treats. She's no longer with us, but we still have her pebble collection.
Ours (Sundae) is obsessed with trains. The noise the electric motors make are her second favourite song (#1 hit single right now is “firetruck karaoke”).
She is my sweet golden Brannie reincarnated. Brannie used to sing to her rocks, could dive to find the one she wanted and then would carry it lovingly all day. Goldens are such lovely wierdos
This is why I want to talk to dogs: why this rock? Does it smell? Taste? Is it shaped pleasantly? Does she bring them home as part of some larger plan or does she just... find carying a rock on the way home is pleasant? None of this matters, but a part of me NEEDS TO KNOW

Yeah! If you turn on the sound you can hear Darcy French laughing in parts lol
I didn't know Captain liked rocks too.
I give Nemo brown rocks all the time. He seems to like them

So glad she is being highlighted by you!
She made it to WeRateDogs!
I mean I too have many holes in the yard. And infinite dirt to mop up in the house.
