The essence of Trumpism is inventing an imagined world in which everything is worse.

Sen. Bernie Moreno: "We have to remember that if Kamala Harris had won on November 5, the stock market would be down 50 percent ... this country would be on a path to ruin. What President Trump inherited is a disaster from Biden."

No, it has nothing to do with Captain Tariff & his whiplash on-again-off-again random decrees OR massive federal firings and dismantling of our government that is causing destabilization in our stock market. Did I mention the FAA & fear of flying?
Well, we "inherited" mess and maybe a recession is happening but we planned this because things have to get worse before they get better...
Meanwhile, we're firing thousands of Americans.
in part because a huge swath of the press never fully requires they take proper ownership of dogshit policy
You can get enough people to believe anything you want, absent logic, proof, or common sense, by just telling them what they want to hear.
I have to wonder how much of belief is a social behavior.
I do believe this could be mitigated if more confronted them on their repeated bad behavior and spoke about this as a behavior. We focus more on the specific lie and less on confronting and naming their bad faith behavior. They're allowed to lie.
Take that CNN show with Scott Jennings. The show is set up to allow Jennings the ability to act and argue in bad faith. Unreasonable behavior is rewarded. It's about identity not reason.
Sometimes the more clever a person the better they are at rationalizing things away. They're carved out a space of unreality for themselves where they can behave unreasonably. And
We've cultivated a learned stupidity in this country where some people can say up is down one day and down is up the next without consequence.
Being unreasonable is a feature not a bug. It reinforces authoritarian sentiments and desires.

These guys provide a boatload of examples for just about every kind of logical fallacy there is.
It's no wonder they generally hate science.

Or… option 3 after valuable earth minerals that aren’t naturally abundant in the US.
Useful idiots

I am that confident he is nearly illiterate
Bold face lying 🤥
A politically, economically, legally, constitutionally, historically illiterate electorate who are only semi-literate & consume more sports in a single weeknd than books after HS & having th largest & most sophisticatd misinfo media networks in human history to keep 'em that way
He has zero knowledge and is only talking the biggest nonsense
Incredible that such lunatics are allowed to run a country
Put there some random children from the kindergarten and for sure they are able to act much better
It’s a shame for the USA this constant lying 🙈
The car salesman can go fuck himself
It's Mitt Romney's "self-deportation" but applied to U.S. citizens instead of illegal immigrants.
Reducing government is tantamount to making life worse for most Americans. And they know it.
They're doing it on purpose.
What I learned in church was also thrown out over the years.
My life has been turned into a lie for Trump(ism).
Their lies will not fix their problems. We need to divvy up the states and start over.
It's kinda how we all ended up here in the first place
They really think EVERYONE is STUPID!
ARREST HIS IGNORANT ASS!
At the core, with these people, it's always individual frustration.
Cause: Trump Massive federal layoffs
Effect: systemic unemployment
Cause: Trump betrayal of allies and western democracy
Effect: global instability, no allies, insecurity
Cause: Trump
Effect: decline of American freedom, prosperity and democracy
The first is open and active hostility to verifiable reality, which takes the form of presenting inventions and lies as if they were facts.
