Gotta say I'm pretty skeptical at this point that the US will survive intact. Yeah, the land mass will be here, but inhabited by at least two and likely more nations. Mass migrations, economic turmoil, divying up the military and nukes. End of the dollar, social security, medicare, and all the rest.

I disagree, America as a liberal democracy is absolutely on the line when Republican Senators are cheering on Trump going for an illegal third term in 2028 and gleefully standing by as he unconstitutionally tears apart the government. The threats are just as real internally as externally

A lot of Canadians are looking ahead and seeing job loss etc. so I don't really blame the emotional response. For what it's worth I have consistently said America and not Americans. But at the end of the day Trump is president.
