Two days after the 12-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy—where 20 children and six educators were senselessly killed by a gunman with an AR-15—we are once again mourning lives taken by gun violence in a school.
Why don’t Republicans in Congress think this is a problem?

Shame
If kids K through 12 voted, then politicians would care.
If kids funded political campaigns they'd care.
They are just kids.
Politicians don't care.
Violent shootings make people want to buy guns. Gun companies pay good money to Republicans to ensure that never ends.
They don't care about anyone but themselves.
It gets them votes.
Mass shootings also scare ppl & make them more vulnerable to authoritarians who pretend to be strong leaders.
#EndGunViolenceNow!
What a joy Blue Sky is.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 🤔
We are a country that likes to kill its own.

240 %. It isn’t rocket science to see the problem. With
'AMERICAN GUNS' ...PERIOD FACT
It’s a sickness, and apparently a plurality of us aren’t interested in even acknowledging it, much less seeking a cure.
That’s why!

We can do better than this.
Gun and ammo sales spike after every school shooting.
They money they get to do nothing pays for their down deep guilty feelings.
It hasn't to anyone in their family. So the first reason is the answer.
Kind of hard to do when our government and too many haters love their guns more than our children.
#EndGunViolenceNow
Almost as if all those guns aren't protecting us.
Anymore what ever day it is, is always a date of a mass shooting 😞
Kids don't even own stocks.
If you want the truth
TRUMP WAS BORN EVIL!
School shootings are a gift to conservatives. It serves the dual purpose of reinforcing the belief that the American education system is a failure; which keeps their base energized in favor of their sabotage and destruction of public education, and demoralizes liberals.
The insidiousness is not incidental.
This is not a Hanlon matter.
Why do WE have to pay for the consequences of a minority's unwillingness to be regulated? Now you want to spend BILLIONS MORE to 'harden schools'?
YOU (the 1 in 3) should pay for it all!
Guns are most definitely an issue
I agree we need to attack it on all fronts including installing safety measures like X rays and metal detectors
But we also need to address the root causes

MAGA need it to show their manhood it seems. Shows the opposite in my opinion.
All anyone reasonable is asking for, is reasonable limits
Gun ownership in Switzerland per head is just as high, no school/mass shootings....
The first of these may be more difficult to analyse & treat - but the second is very very obvious.
As is the remedy.
There are commonsense, widely popular, bipartisan approaches to begin to quell this uniquely American crisis.
*Red flag laws
*Universal background checks
*Assault weapon bans
I know the shooter used a pistol yesterday. These can start the process. Our kids deserve better.
Instead of common sense solutions, they will suggest throwing more guns at the issue or to lock/eliminate doors & windows which only serves to trap more people inside.
1/ A culture of unrestrained firearms proliferation
2/ The NRA
Not mental health, video games, crime, drugs or any other deflection.
#EndGunViolenceNow
So much so - the GOP openly wear the NRA pin. A middle finger to the shooting victims.
To top it all off - Americans just voted for Fascism!
They just voted to give away their rights and benefits.
