I can see you & @greenmirandahere.bsky.social as Cary & Ros
Not to be Po-faced and all that
The ten best films about law and lawyers would I hope have a similar balance with the ten most realistic.
My Cousin Vinny
To Kill a Mockingbird
Anatomy of a Murder
A Man for All Seasons
A Matter of Life and Death
The Winslow Boy
Judgement at Nuremberg
Legally Blonde
Inherit the Wind
Plus: Misleading Cases (TV)
(Yes, I deliberately left out A Few Good Men and Erin Brockovitch.)
12 Angry Men and To Kill Mockingbird overrated. Vinny, daft.
But I will put a list together.
A time to kill
The Client
Would by my main additions.
If TV movies count, the BBC's "Newshounds" from the early 90s is a brilliant take on the sleazy world of British tabloid journalism - it stars the great Adrian Edmundson and Alison Steadman and some kind soul has put it on youtube;

Also Nightcrawler, and we might have to have a different category for films with a significant journalist character to lever in Crocodile Dundee.
Films would include The Pelican Brief.
and the best actual journalist is Jennifer Jason Leigh in the Hudsucker Proxy
