“How do they keep winning?” we ask while explaining why it’s ok for us not to vote due to our candidate’s imperfections
Yet Ted Cruz is and remains United States Senator because Republicans will take anyone with an R next to their name

This is besides the point in an incredible thread that you should read, but if Ted Cruz wins in Texas it will be because Republican voters hold their noses and reliably vote for the team. They are nowhere close to a majority, but are *this close* to permanent power because they show up every time.

They suck out loud but at the end of the day they get shit done because they work together. I hate it
They didn't do it by sitting by the figurative phone waiting for Republican politicians to come calling.
Biden didn't change; the makeup of the elected Democratic Party did.
Biden was always going to govern from the center of the party. His ceiling was always going to be determined by Congress & the Supreme Court.
Anything to get rid of Ted Cruz.
"Better" doesn't have to be "ideal" to still be better.
the former the Democrats need to start doing more for their own base
the latter the Democrats need to fight to the maximum extent possible
George Santos. Inventor of sliced bread, and the ball-bearing.
But nah easier to blame individuals than the system.
Democrats fight their own base on what they want.
That’s why republicans show up consistently while democrats constantly try to wrangle every possible voter at the last hour.
"Shut up and vote for her" is a horrible strategy with validly concerned people on the left, just as it would be on the right with people concerned about voting for Trump.
Once it’s to the general it’s fall in line time
Have standards and principles, of course. But if you standards and principles lead you to the conclusion that you should not vote or vote for the worse of the 2 evils....then maybe you should reconsider your principles.
Sinema on the other hand got real shitty after election when she decided that's where the real money was. I dont think that turn was to be expected prior to the election
But they refrain from the type of backstabbing and gloating it. I think the best I can say about her is that at least she didnt just switch parties on day 1 and caucus with the GOP
