Source in the VA tells me that all probationary employees are on administrative leave and the plan is to simply fire them when the RIF starts, regardless of performance or necessity of position. Also tells me his higher-ups are telling him that's going to happen government-wide, so be prepared.

I love all the claims of court victories with no follow-up on whether the administration complied with the court orders. They haven't brought everybody back. Many were immediately placed on administrative leave and will eventually be terminated after the community notification requirements are met.
