It’s not true that there are “two warring camps” in the Democratic Party coalition trying to exclude one another’s messages. The feminist and anti-racist elements have never been hostile to the economic populism messaging. The hostility is exclusively the other way around.

One camp understands that social justice and economic populism are inextricably linked and not merely compatible but co-necessary.
The other camp believes that the first is a luxury good you purchase at the expense of the second.
Show me lists of Dems who helped scuttle the expanded child tax credit and those now whining about "identity politics*" and it'll be the same image.
*basic rights for regular Americans.
