just a quick note that this isn't how representative government works

Like huh it’s almost as if this information is inconsistent with the government’s representations in court that Amy Gleason, not Musk, is in charge of DOGE, and that agency heads, not DOGE, are responsible for the cuts

ELON: I fully understand, sir, let's see if we can't get this straightened out for you right away
DEMS: You downsized an entire federal agenc---
ELON: Talk to the hand
This is soooo fucked yo
Typically, billionaires worry about worker revolutions. They build hidden bunkers to avoid us. They know we outnumber them and that they're doing bad, unfair things to a lot of people. They're scared
We’re in the 21st century and super close to AGI - just lay back and let the machines run the planet.
Hopefully, if not altogether painless, the end will be quick.
We no longer have a representative government.
We have a corrupt oligarchy, which is rapidly descending into fascism.
but bigger issue is that Musk/DOGE/Trump are the ones defying the will of the people
because the federal govt is operating thru mid-March via laws passed by reps we chose in 2022 (18/20/22 for senate) + current Congress hasn't done a thing to alter the funding
I mean, we stopped doing this 150 years ago in order to eliminate corruption, fraud, and nepotism, but it can be a way our representative government works.
A terrible way, but a way.
