A lot of funds are probably still well in the black on their Tesla shares. They know they've missed the peak but they don't want to sell on the dip and they're hoping for some magic to bail them out.
Everyone knows "Cybertruck" should have put this meme stock in the dirt, though.
Exactly. And this approach certainly does not make me feel confident in financial management. It seems purely reactive not pro-active!
And while I understand the difference between actively vs passively managed funds I'm still blown away they think something will change with Tesla.
Personally I don't like anything about Tesla (most of all hearing about it from fans), but I think the brand can absolutely come back if Elon can be detached from it. Anything over $75 is, IMHO, way (way, way) overpriced.
He notes correctly that part of it is people thought Musk was a genius. That was a reason people to bought Teslas. Musk's rank incompetence has destroyed that. Even if they could get rid of Musk and completely separate themselves from him, he has really damaged the Tesla brand from this.
Normally I am just a watcher, but given our times, I feel I should lend a hand anyway I can. If anyone wants a high resolution pdf of this sticker, message me. Wouldn’t it be great to see these everywhere and shame his supporters?

Do-gooders will be the market for electric cars for a few more years, until the total cost of ownership is comparable to gasoline powered vehicles. It is little short of insane, in that context, what Elon has done to the Tesla brand.
Agree. You might as well have top gun manufacturer go all out for trans-rights, gun control and yoga. Hard to imagine a bigger corporate reputational self-own.
We need to keep reminding people: Tesla's "value" is more than the ten biggest automakers combined. Globally, by sales and units shipped, it is tiny. Its products are mostly old, and the one that isn't, can't be sold in half the world's markets because it was designed by a moron.

This CEO's stock tanked when he was revealed to be a drug-addicted sexist and racist.
"Who is Elon Musk?"
As Buffett famously said, "It takes 20 yrs to build a reputation and one Nazi salute to ruin it" he he 1😁
That’s when I bought my car, and nobody knew Musk was a monster.
Now I’m embarrassed to drive it, and the resale market has cratered
Not rapid enough. We can do better.
The hyenas have to be licking their chops.

Why does it feel like WE know more than them?

But share price over $50 is wildly overpaying for those assets.
The brand is trashed.

It’s a losing business proposition that I don’t see them getting around without the board throwing Musk out.
His actions are not done with the best interests of Tesla now anyway.
It’s not a product I’ve heard of Tesla exploring, so I just don’t see the upside for them.
