The NIH folks have been through so much I don't have the heart to tell them they're going to have review grants for studying the use of crystals for treating severe cases of measles.

Should be interesting, as NIH doesn’t actually review grants, they recruit pro bono reviewers from the ( already pissed off) academic community. Maybe they will recruit their intramural folks, since those folks can’t do actual research.
Conceivably an existing study section could do the beef tallow versus seed oil RCT and the coconut oil for everything, but may need to create a special one for crystals.
