The snake eating it's own tail, cannibalistic nature of so much YouTube content now being "Youtuber watching a clip of someone else's stream as the person on that stream watches someone else's YouTube upload" is depressing tbh

Yeah lot of streamers like him do that. They throw on a video to entertain their stream while they go to the bathroom or grab a snack, and then upload that shit to YouTube later as part of their VOD. I
I think what we’re seeing is content curators, not content creators. Algorithms aren’t serving people what they want and or people want to feel like they’re watching stuff with a community rather then by themselves. A streamer with similar content tastes to you serves both.
For sure, reaction content was more a thing in 2019 than 2014. Definitely agreed there.
This new level of it though where people are reacting to other people's reactions, sometimes three reactions deep depending on the video is definitely a newer escalation from my observation.
Seen this a few times now.
It's fine if they're just doing a stream taking the piss out of someone who has bad media literacy, but fuck me, I don't want to watch a three hour saved stream, I just want a normal video essay.

It's dumb lol
Example --> Music video / music video reaction / a mash-up of popular reactors reacting to the one music video
