Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, Weller. Fancy Old Forrester, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Four Roses single barrel. JTS Brown 100 proof off the bottom shelf. It ain’t bourbon if it ain’t from Kentucky.
If he drinks WT already, there’s Wild Turkey Rare Breed and Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit. They’re a lot nicer, but they’ll still taste kind of familiar too
Anyone in Virginia (and apparently a lot of states on the East Coast down through Texas now!) is doing themselves a disservice by not having a bottle of Ragged Branch Signature on the shelf
If you want to stick with Wild Turkey, Rare Breed, Jimmy Russell’s 70th Anniversary release, or a Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel store pick are all fine options.
Some other options: Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond, Green River Full Proof, Four Roses Small Batch Select.
Wilderness Trail! Fairly new but pretty widely distributed including in Philly, with a variety of options (both bourbon and rye). It is from my hometown, so I am firmly biased. https://seelbachs.com/collections/wilderness-trail

Goes great by itself or with ginger ale.
