When people ask how do you read so much, I think about days like the superbowl, which I spend snuggled with my dog in a cozy nest of pillows and blankets surrounded by piles of books that I am currently reading. I mean that is the answer... #booksky

I barely watch tv generally and I always carry at least one physical book plus kindle/kindle app/libby/etc. so I always have SOMETHING on me to read for those five minutes here and there during the day that can be used for a few pages. It all adds up
What is the difference? Same amount of time spent. In one you get to enjoy it with everyone at the moment and you are online talking about how your not watching it. I think I'm missing the point. π€
as an introvert who doesn't enjoy televised sports or commercials, I can catch the half time show IF I want. As a person who reads a lot, who gets asked how I read a lot this is how I do it. I just use my time differently than a lot of folk. do.
I'm not criticizing you, I'm an avid reader. We were mutuals on Tik Tok I guess you don't remember me it's fine. It just seemed like a post to talk about not watching football on the one night when people who never watch it are because it's just a thing to do. π€·ββοΈ
I didn't recognize you! I didn't take it as criticism. I just have been thinking about it because I get that comment regularly, and I'm always a little confused like I like reading, and I spend time reading when other people are doing other things.
βIF itβs goodβ¦β meaning if it isnβt we have spent our time reading and missed nothing. And then if it was good and we want to watch later we can catch just the bits that interest us and can FF/skip any that donβt. For some of us it really just isnβt that important. π€·π»ββοΈ
Someone talked about how they were doing a readathon and I thought, βooh! I want to do that!β And then I remembered I have read every hour I wasnβt sleeping or working for months. π
