I don’t think he was that great, either: Stewart carried him, more than Carney carried the interview. I have a lot more thoughts, but mostly, Carney just did fine.

I seem to be in a minority who doesn't think Carney was that great on Stewart. But I think many of us are desperate for a conventional political leader with a good resumé who projects some common courtesy. He did come across that way.

I don't feel that way about Poilievre.
Objectively speaking, Carney came off as personable without undermining his own intelligence.
He’s not Jack Layton, but he could be our best chance at keeping PP out of 24 Sussex.
I think the timing was so that he could get out in front and have some fun before any official announcements.
It was also a good time to rid himself of the Ignatieff comparisons. This video will be shared more than any segment with Rosie et al.
I thought Mark Carney stayed with him, generally without flubbing or raising his voice.
After, I still think that, but now I can see a future where people want that after 4 yrs of Pierre.
Can he stick out those years?
Would be nice if we could skip that.
Yeah, would love to avoid that, but I'm not particularly sanguine about the polls, nor the moment.
In return, they will demean and threaten us.
Fair trade, right?
Sigh.
Climates change (dark pun not intended))!
That's not nothing, and it's the route I wanted for the NDP back in 2017!
