The fact that he murdered hundreds of thousands of his own voters in his last term didn't stop them for voting for him, what's a farm compared to that? He kills them, he bankrupts them, but at least he's still racist and transphobic
If I have it right, Kansas farmers voted to “stick it to the other guy,” and wound up getting stuck themselves. They were warned, and they decided they didn’t give a shit.
I have no sympathy for them. I probably should, but I don’t. Zero.
Sympathy maybe not, but in the end lack of food will impact the cities the most. The cities have got to help the farmers out, right now, or there will be complete chaos.
I'm currently reading Dark Money, which lays out everything that's happening right now.. The Koch brothers and their fellow billionaires finally got everything they wanted (and paid for), with Trump and Musk getting the attention instead of them.
Fuck 'em. I live in a rural farm county and every one of my farmer neighbors voted for tRump. Poor things might not be able to afford their winter vacations to the Sun Belt and Mexico
"Many farmers voted for Trump because he promised less regulation and greater prosperity for America’s farmers. The hard truth is that, like .... All of this has occurred in the context of higher input costs and tight margins for virtually all crops. " So sad
🎯 "My fellow farmers — you’ve been played. This nation cannot exist as an island. But that is the path that this administration is on, and the onus is on responsible folks from all political persuasions to find common ground to stop this madness."
My favorite is the farmers who got money from Biden's Inflation Reduction Act then went out and voted for Trump. Now they're screwed and somehow confused about it. Go figure.
I try to maintain some sense of solidarity with farmers, at least non-corporate-conglomerate ones. But they make it hard sometimes. Don’t feel solidarity coming back. Ultimately, imbalance of Senate and electoral college power favoring small state voters, including Kansas farmers, is unsustainable.
Failed to do their homework or cared more about imaginary monsters. The fear of others getting more than them or something they don’t think they deserve is among the few things that are alive and well.

STOP THIS MADNESS!
For years. MCConnell set them up for failure.
Don’t exclude Rand Paul. He’s also an enabler.
