I'm noticing that I'm able to almost instantly tell when art is human-made or not, and it doesn't have to do with a different level of complexity, it has to do with... I don't know. something I can't articulate yet. something like the placement of objects and colors is more.. unexpected, organic?
I'm not an artist, yet somehow I'm able to see these differences and they really mean something. AI art makes me feel oddly unwell, human art is often charming and slightly unexpected-feeling. I can't describe it any closer.
Man this is so sick I want to return to this place every spring but leave again at the end of autumn, so the place stays special. This thought process is unrelated to any friends I may or may not have made at this location
So idk if thisbartists did this, but you can scan textures, then add them as a layer so it lools lkle it has that texture. I think it is a very cool technique!
I'm sure that's possible, but the more I look at it, the more it's clear that "look what I did" was probably removing the name from the art.
I'm an artist. I have had to look for plagiarism for a very long time.
Do you really have nothing better to do than harrass a queer artist of color because you can't be bothered to think critically for 2 fucking seconds?? There are so many awful people in the world you could be bothering and you're really choosing my gf who I fucking sit next to and watch actually draw
You might be, I'm not giving you any free views.
I can look at the picture, and I can see clear thatch texture on the rock and the white space used for the sun. Look throughout the painting water color was used, and while art programs can simulate this, this is not.
the internet has brought me back to you! you’re my favorite artist! i left twitter and forgot everyone’s handles!!!! i have that clam unicorn pic printed and stuck to my wall. it’s shitty printer paper but it’s my favorite piece so. anyways you ate like always slayer
Absolutely not. Digital and traditional art are both time consuming, demanding years of practice to master. They both require an artist to sit down for hours and paint/draw. Digital art has advantages in its flexibility - traditional art has the advantage of being a valuable physical artefact.
At no point has the existence of digital art undermined traditional art, nor made it less valuable. Traditionally painted canvasses still sell for hundreds, often thousands of dollars. It's the DIGITAL artists who are being hurt most by AI - we don't need this resurrected wave of gatekeeping.
I would like to sit here. Take a book. My dog. My kitties. Build a cabin. Yes, I’d still like internet, but otherwise….yes, this. :) It is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
To correct mistakes you have to know where are the mistakes at first place so yes ? Digital brush don’t paint for you. You need notions of perspective, color theory, values and many others skills. I have been drawing for my entire life and I can’t draw yet like the op.
Okay and what can YOU do exactly? Other than being a dick to people on the internet? Let's all take a moment to remember Thumpers mother, who reminded her son of his father's words "if you can't say nothing nice don't say nothing at all".
Like I'm gonna listen to an internet troll 😂 get a life loser. I know this is probably how you try to make yourself feel better about your existence, but seek therapy. For everyone's sake.
You're clearly not worth anyone's time. Another troll who truly gets off on just being mean to others. Have the life you deserve buddy. Karmas a cunt :)
Why wouldn't it be? You can erase and undo things in physical art, too. All with different degrees of course, but a person still drew and came up with the idea.
digital art is very similar to traditional art, you can erase in traditional aswell? undoing is just a easier more convenient cleaner way of doing so. art should be fun and something you enjoy doing you aren’t more of an artist for wanting things to be more difficult..
Not bad. I did that for my students when I was teaching Photoshop. I drew a still life with shadows and then recreated it on my computer. That was a good start for their brain. Good job!!
I don't know the right art terms to explain why I like this so much. I'm just going to say that it makes me feel good - just a gentle, peaceful vibe that feels better the longer I look at it. Thank you for sharing this.
So i person can draw on a computer (if they have a tablet very close to a pad of paper) it is not the same as an ai scanning and stealing others art to make up an image it is told. This person had to actually try and create art, not just put in a prompt.
This entire thread is so pretentious it kinda makes me wanna hurl, although I'm fairly sure someone would accuse my vomit splatter of having obvious maxpooling artifacts
This looks absolutely incredible! It's so serene...
it gives me a feeling of an end to tribulations, with the scattered snowbanks among sprouting flowers.

If you're legit, what program did you use for a textured background?

Much more soulful than anything AI can do.
I don't know how to word this but it looks like colorful cereal milk. It's comforting.

This is art.
#notsorry
So yes, yes it is.
Ahh! I'll buy it at a high price!
"art I made with my real human hands"
Kinda sounds like what a robot would say though.
*narrows eyes*
It is not the same as fine art.
This looks effortlessly serene. Mad props to the time and dedication you already put into your craft!
