An analysis of the first 2 months of New York City's congestion pricing policy shows that road speeds increased and emissions decreased inside and out of the congestion zone, from Cook, Kreidieh, Vasserman, Allcott, Arora, van Sambeek, Tomkins, and Turkel https://www.nber.org/papers/w33584

If someone tells me that they can afford parking, but can't afford $9 more to reduce congestion, I don't find them credible.
A handful of weirdos *frequently* have an outsized effect on systems, and changing their behavior requires solutions that are illogical for 99% of the population.
Most members of the NYPD live outside the city, mostly in Jersey; there are tens of thousands of them, and not a single one of them would ever use public transit, b/c public transit is for the little people; and they're not used to having to pay for anything.
We are not given any relief from this.
Pretty much everything wrong with the world can be boiled down to: a greedy person wanted more.
what a shocking development that absolutely needs studies to confirm.
I know they have the illegal ability to withhold state funds which I assume they will do absent a legal one. Just curious
SF will still benefit from increased transit use, fewer emissions, and better traffic. Just don't insist on the money also, and this can happen.
But can the Millionaires / Billionaires / Trillionairs ? , go wherever they are going, minutes faster!
