This & instead of disagreeing over troops to Ukraine, EU+ should commit to doubling down on help to Ukraine, now Biden & Scholz are out. Ideally to commit to Ukraine winning, and for Europe to create our own security, now US has become an adversary.

Yes. However the member states cannot raise debt as cheaply as the EU can, which is why the EU should do it, and they can also to the procurement, so we get one EU type cheaply, and EU arms independence.

Often missed how many Americans have no clue that “Europe” consists of ~49 countries each with their own history & culture; & how often you’ll hear such sentiments expressed as “why can’t Europe be more like the US & do what we do?”
