I had to turn off a lot of apps that opened on startup last week. Go into your task manager, and click the "speedometer" icon to open "Startup Apps." Right click on any apps or programs that open on startup, then click to select "Disable."
I spent my morning pondering and then called/emailed my congressman and 2 senators. Senators' vms were full and they don't respond to emails but I sent more emails. I think I need to figure out how to reboot my brain and work on stuff that I need to get done. Sending you virtual hug.
I can relate. I'm just eating Lucky Charms today and watching first The Jetsons and then Twin Peaks. I refuse to participate in life today. It's just too hard. Sending magic ✨

As a child, Mom would NOT allow "junk" cereal. Cheerios, wheaties, uhm....oh Muslix (sp)?...kix...checks...thats about it. I was always enthralled by lucky charms. I was extremely EXTREMELY dissapointed when it was worse than the "real" cereal I was eating. I wanted a bowl of sugar dammit!
My bestie still makes fun of me for not knowing how to eat takeout food at first, which was also forbidden. I have learned since then, but it continues to be an adventure.
I wasn't allowed to have any of that stuff either, and I don't have the palate for any of it as a result, but it's as psychologically comforting to me as cartoons and weird tv, which were also forbidden. A pattern emerges...🤔
I feel this! Back in Victorian England you’d be taken to a seaside hotel to “take the air” and then be wheeled out onto the beach with a woollen blanket over your knees. I reckon it really would have helped…
You are trying to quit what handles interupts for the kernel.
Instead you have to learn to live with it as a design flaw. It is, progressively, being documented. The project doing this is called Therapists.
Interesting analogy. I seem to need more sleep in the last couple of weeks. Am retired so can nap. But that may change given the only income I have is Social Security I paid-in to for 54 years and a Nazi has seized the nation's money.
Recommend the immediate installation of rest mode updates.

sudo kill -9 will kill just about any process stone dead. Just make sure not to kill anything your system actually needs to run like init/systemd or you'll crash. Also it's instant & not at all graceful so your work won't be saved & you might want to restart afterwards.
Most Linux distros give anyone with root / sudo access all the tools they need to fix things...and if they're not careful, shoot themselves in the foot.
Hmmmm me too. I canceled a date I wasn't very enthused about, and that helped for like 10 seconds, now I feel like theres a little robot spider sapping juice outta my spinal cord somehow.
I'm not freaking out, nor worried. Its a physical thing.

I think you have T.R.U.M.P. (Total Resource-Usage Malfunction Program)– A cognitive virus that hijacks the brain’s processing power, looping false information and draining mental energy until critical reasoning crashes. It’s chronic at this point. And it lasts for 4 yrs unfortunately.
Same. I literally did an about-face on the way to my lab and decided to work elsewhere because I heard someone's voice. I have energy for troubleshooting code or pretending to tolerate that person, current events have left me without enough energy to do both.
