Interesting that a man is attacked for being an absentee father but gets basically no credit for being a presentee father. Such are the incentives of our so-called society

Are you kidding? Old ladies stop my husband in the street to tell him how great he is for pushing our son in a stroller. He takes him to the park and they throw a parade. He changed a diaper once and got a congressional medal of freedom.
Yay, wait til you hear this. When a father is absent, his entire burden is shifted to the mother who is then vilified for being the one parent present for the children. Strange world, innit?
Additional anecdote: a good friend of mine got knocked up by a dipshit. For awhile he agreed to coparenting therapy from a local nonprofit. He was a useless flake with no work ethic or follow-through, but just showing up for a session meant the entire staff cooed over him & praised him to the skies.
I'd disagree with you on this. Yesterday my husband reflected on how if he took our then-baby to the park, people descended on him to tell him what an amazing father he was--but if I did it, it was, y'know, Tuesday.
That was my initial thought. Men actually are given undue praise for doing basic shit. They are definitely getting hold stars. Nevermind they had to be asked several times, then threatened before they did anything at all.
Being present gets you out of the negative numbers to zero. Good so far as it goes, but the whole task of being a good father remains to be done.
Quick note: Sometimes being a good father entails absenting yourself to somewhere there's work and sending money home. That's hard, but can be necessary.

If you're that much of a little bitch, I don't ever want to hear them complain about wokeness or political correctness.
Ignorance is a lifestyle choice.
Geez.... fragile snowflakes everywhere
Some of y'all should take a look at yourselves and do some introspection
