I think the actual secret to pulling this off is the kind of bravado that only comes from a lifetime of wealth and privilege. We're gonna need a rich guy unfortunately

I've been saying for a while and I truly believe that part of Trump's appeal is he promises concrete outcomes no matter how impossible they will be to achieve. He says things like "we will" and "we're going to" instead of making soft promises to maybe consider trying to evaluate the possibility
I'd argue Americans want anger more than bravado. Democrats are too busy trying to be civil to match the anger their constituents have. When people are unhappy, but can't identify why, they will align themselves with rage, regardless of what it is pointed at. This is Trump's appeal.
Out here praying my representative goes postal during a House session. People want their reps to be as mad as they are, and the right has that anger up on the national stage; neither the center nor the left do.
You need someone who unabashedly is out of fucks to give. Rich or famous would do it, but so does unyielding rage, or just the inability to shut up and a deep disregard for the legacy press. Real talk, is Howard Stern busy?
My mom is a retired lady who IMO was spending too much free time letting Trump live rent free in her head, and I would say “Mom, it’s brutal, but the best thing we can do is live our lives the best we can, keep on healthy habits, focus on us” etc
I had a friend who always claimed he was 100% sure about any claim he made. I pointed out that he had about a 40% accuracy rate and he argued it was closer to 60%. He was not rich, but tapped into the confidence level of 100% at a self described 60%. I think a guy who is a butt-head can do it.
I’m not a privileged white guy but with a half glass of red wine in me, I have the shameless confidence of one, and I actually believe we should tax millionaires so hard that there are no billionaires. I will answer the call.
I mean the last few videos I’ve seen he has been saying the right things compared to any other Dem governor outside Minnesota and Kentucky. I don’t know if Beshear works nationally, and Walz is fine, but I do think of all the Dem governors right now Priztker is the best choice on a national stage.
See the thing is you are describing Gavin Newsome, who in his round about way has come around to supporting trumpism. A malleable moral compass means nothing is ever on or off the table completely
I don’t know Pritzker well enough to guess if he’s capable of this, but I've always recognized that Gavin newsom was capable of it even at his most anti trump moments.
There’s a book called Winning Through Intimidation that covers this that has things like hire a secretary even if you don’t need one, all important guys have a secretary. Better Call Saul fakes having one at the start of Better Call Saul
The trick is to babble on incoherently when you don't know what you're talking about, and when you're lying, your voice tilts up at the end of sentences, and you say "okay?!?" at the end. 🤷♀️

Now I see she wasn’t overreacting at all 😵💫
Tim Robinson-esque?
Upper Midwest, Texas, Rhode Island, even a strong Chicago accent would do the trick
Ugh.
