All of those movies made about suffering, dying, lawsuits, and retribution brought on by pre-auths and claims denied by some clerk with an 8th grade education aren’t fiction…they’re documentaries.
I work in out-patient physical therapy. Private insurance companies haven’t increased how much they pay us per service in over 20 years. Not just my clinic, all the small businesses. There’s nothing we can do about it except not take insurance and charge patients out of pocket.
Gosh, why would I hate the organization that is allowed to completely override my doctor and tell me that it won't cover certain medications or that my co-pay (as for a recent medication I won't be able to fill) will be $284.76 a month?
Why would I hate ANOTHER profit center in my medical care?
I don’t hate health insurance companies. I hate seeing loved ones getting denied for things that are outlined in their coverage and prescribed by their doctor who we trust, being told that the insurance companies doctor says it’s “not medically necessary.”
Or there's what I'm going through right now. I'm allergic to alternatives to Renflexis. The insurance company has the letter of necessity from the Doctor. They continue to deny it because it isn't on their formulary. The kicker? It's an ERISA plan so they're legally allowed to have bad faith.
They’re really pointless. We should have single pair and that’s it. If you’re sick, you get treated. Adding a middleman just raises the costs for everybody all around.
I'm always horrified to see the dictated typos I can't see on my phone on my computer hours or days later. Ugh. Single payer, of course. Thanks for your understanding.
1/ I’m not convinced it’s a math issue. As a Canadian I have had numerous conversations with Americans about the difference between our health care systems. The overwhelming position of those I spoke with had more to do with not wanting to be part of a collective system.
Remember the 1/3 pound burger failed in the US because a lot of Americans thought it was smaller than the 1/4 pound burger. Never underestimate the stupidity of the US.
I'm surprised that every person signing onto Donald Trump's latest scheme to get rich quick by using America as their personal ATM isn't freaking out a little.
People are only going to put up with this bs for so long and when you really piss them off and they have nothing to lose....Oh well
For profit healthcare is just a bad idea. I work for the man (health insurance) and I totally get why people are so upset. Profits over healthcare. It’s disgusting.
There are countless reasons why that is so. There’s the article to be written. I can’t help but repeat that killing is horrid & I totally get why so many people can relate to that impulse.
Due the devastating income inequality in this country, there will come a time very soon when people will feel exploited by all billionaires and ...watch out.
It scares me when certain politicians in the UK want US style healthcare. Our NHS may not be perfect but at least I know when I fall ill it won’t bankrupt me.
That is why they WANT to make ours like the US system.
So they can take EVERYTHING before you can pass it on to YOUR children.
They've already taken our assets, loaded us with National debt. NOW, the only assets left in our hands ARE THEIR only target for MORE wealth. Best wishes.
God, I work in customer service for a health insurance company. Please forgive me. It sucks and it’s a shitty job, but I gotta pay bills and I’m really good at helping people 🤷🏻♂️
I haven’t even seen any MAGA coming in defense of them. Health insurers might be the most vulnerable of the oligarchs. I wonder if the assassin is working with some sort of radical group. This killing seems more sophisticated than I’d expect from a disgruntled insured.
Just got bac from the doc - seems insurance won't cover a CT-scan that I'm not quite sick enough for. Obviously they'll save a lot of money if I just die
It is: the insurance agents aren't doctors. They are actuaries or AI looking to increase their profits. By denying insurance claims and limiting treatments, they are working against the patients' best interests and handicapping the physician's ability to effectively treat.
For thousands of years, people in every continent have revered their healers. Their witch doctors, their apothecaries, their doctors their nurses. The clear hatred of people who describe themselves as “insurance providers” suggest something has gone very wrong
If only we had this much feeling for school shootings. But no, people are flipping out over a CEO getting shot. In a city with the strictest possible gun laws.
Well, when you consider that insurance companies are responsible for a number of preventable deaths because their default SOP is to reject as many claims as possible, the animosity is understandable. I am surprised it took this long for it to happen.
As they should. Most developed, and many developing, nations offer some form of universal healthcare but the richest country on the planet cant? Why? For the prifit of a few rich people, we let people die and suffer from treatable illnesses.
I'm not sure if there's a combination of things that a person can be that makes me care less about what happened to them than, "billionaire CEO of a health insurance company."
With good reason 🤷 Why pay a middleman that inflates every cost whose sole purpose is to prevent you from getting care at every turn when the US could have universal healthcare like the rest of the developed world,
People hate shitty health insurance companies which force you into another job to understand your shitty coverage and impossible to understand benefits and billing. I used to like mine 20 years ago. It didn’t have to be like this.
And the Dems are worried about single payer “taking away the healthcare coverage you love”. No one loves this shit. It’s what we’re stuck with. I’ve never had a patient that likes their insurance. M4A is the best middle ground option, as it still allows for supplementary coverage plans if desired.
Because we're paying for the ridiculous yachts, planes, and penthouses at the expense of someone's life. Now, they don't want to pay for you to sleep during the entire operation. WTF!
There's enough people who hate health insurance companies to make up a small European country... of course a small European country would have sensible healthcare available to all it people.
People love the UK NHS, but hate the underfunding for the last 14 years. The problem is that it will take at least 2 UK parliamentary terms to turn things around.
I wonder how good the background check will be for those "security" jobs. I doubt those positions will pay well. I wonder how many poorly paid plebs are out there will to step in front of a gun for a millionaire/billionaire. So many things could go so wrong. Huh. 😔🤣
If the insurance companies keep it up, it will be very dangerous indeed to f*ck over folks with nothing to lose and nothing to gain beyond revenge. The same warning goes to politicians. It's best to at least keep the masses in their basic needs. Just saying...
For just $59.00 a jug you can enjoy Baby Billy's proven Heath Elixir!!!!. Just a cap full of this coconut silkiness will ease your all kinds of streps, flus, colds, Covis and many other forms of illness with ease!! I make nothing, zilch ZERO!!! Try it today or your money back* (*T&C's apply!)-UBB
To them there are no people. Only customers and shareholders. Their job is to extract as much money as they can from their “customers” to give to their shareholders.
And we all knew and still do know that the health insurance companies don’t really care what people think. It’s only the money that counts ! CEO can be replaced , profits can’t
Not just health insurance companies. I shared with my son how much I
pay to keep our family of three insured across the board, and he was truly shocked.
Our entire healthcare system is a scam from start to finish. Citizens deserve better but continually vote against their own interests... I don't see an end to this stupidity. God needed to give us better brains or something.
our brains are fine. but we’ve been the subject to decades of an information war against us. to divide us. make everyone dumber and poorer and then pray on the dumb and poor for power.
Capitalism and Healthcare do not mix.
Let's keep the greed out of it, it's peoples lives at stake.
As far as that CEO death is concerned, I'm surprised more CEO's haven't been murdered.
I worked in healthcare for 36yrs. Fuck health insurance companies, they are a parasite!US is the ONLY industrialized nation that does not provide universal healthcare to all its citizens. It’s inhuman and immoral.
I feel bad for the person, but for the corporate scumbag that has blood on their hands? No pity. God, this reminds me of the Old Testament. That was the flat out gangsta part of the Bible
Repeat after me:
Other nations protect the interests of their citizens, but American governments serve up their own people on platters upon which corporations gorge themselves.
I think what people hate is blood sucking companies that pretend to be health insurance companies.
They would love health insurance companies if there were any

If you are looking for sympathy
It's in the dictionary between shit and syphilis
with an easy name like “Universal Healthcare”…
Guillotine?

UnGodly
The length of time the man worked there is public info.
With half an hour and a calculator you can figure out how many people he killed to save his investors money.
My granddaughter has been doing that for dentists for about five years. That’s all she does. She said that it can be stressful.
The costs for dental care is, like all other types of health care, crazy expensive
Benefits for most policies haven’t gone up in years. They barely cover maintenance procedures
Getting dentists to prequalify procedures w/insurance is like pulling teeth
However.
I do have some notes.
Also....
Send help! They're literally killing us over decimals on a spreadsheet.
pay to keep our family of three insured across the board, and he was truly shocked.
The deniers of whatever care your dr prescribes are pure evil, IMO.
Let's keep the greed out of it, it's peoples lives at stake.

As a medical provider, I can tell you how much I personally appreciate the non-medical provider insurance rep telling me how to care for my patient… 😡
They would love health insurance companies if there were any
Burn them all to the fucking ground.
