I have a guy a few doors down that didn’t measure if he could park the truck in his garage… sure enough. Literally has to keep his garage door open to charge his truck overnight. We have bears. They noticed. His garbage is everywhere like 2 or 3 times a week. - ThreadSky

One of the things they don't tell you about Cuba is it was the plantation owners who were stripping the country for parts and indenturing it's people that fled to Miami during the revolution. When I learned this their politics started to make way more sense.

The size of the garages in our neighborhood is EASILY the weirdest thing about it.

Some models they’re perfectly fine. Others, like mine and this guy’s, are oddly small.

It just wasn’t something I was really paying attention to when we were looking at houses.

But I’ll never forget that again.

"We have bears" is an alarming thing for Australians to read. Most of our deadly things are much smaller and are found at ground level, so we habitually look down and watch where we put our feet. This is not a helpful strategy when bears are added to the equation.

I’m also Canadian and the idea of bears scares me much less than all the things Australia has lol. I think because bears are pretty avoidable, within reason, depending where you live, and also much easier to spot.

I once spotted a bear in my new neighbour's backyard. Since I didn't have their phone number I walked over to warn them and ended up playing peek-a-boo with the bear, me in front, it in back. Funny as hell. They typically avoid humans. Typically 😁

Black bears are pretty harmless. It can be scary, but they don’t want to mess with people. Only real danger is a mom with cubs. Even then, stay calm and just back away. Here’s one from my yard a while back. We’ve since elevated the bird feeder so they can’t it.
