Even ignoring if climate change is real, we as a society can benefit from reducing local pollution. I would very much enjoy not breathing in exhaust fumes in the city. It is wild that people justify a technology that has led to oil spills the size of Virginia. Conflict of interest is huge right now.

Super interesting! Just to clarify however the IPCC does not produce annual reports, but reports come every 6-7 years, just entering the 7th cycle now. And all in all during the AR6 cycle, there were nearly 900 scientists involved - we had around 240 in WGII alone.
