They took down the Abrcms page for a while too though it seems to be back up. I have been asking folks to email them. I noticed the IDEAAs page was down as of last Wednesday. I think I’m skipping microbe this year for sure and not renewing membership.

This spotlight was taken down. I put links to things like highlights in my CV that I use for promotion and tenure. It's irresponsible to take this down for an assistant professor, especially when others are still up.

I could vaguely justify scrubbing ABRCMS when it relied on NIH grants to run and might be canceled. I cannot in any way understand any other part of an independent, nonprofit, NGO, needing to review any content in light of an executive order from a President.

Nope. ASM shouldn't scrub ABRCMS either. They should say that the 2025 meeting won't happen UNTIL they can get funding from alternative sources because the current administration doesn't support Black, Indigenous and other scientists from underrepresented backgrounds. Scrubbing it is cowardly.

It doesn’t look to me that this is the case for ASM but for a society I’m involved with we had to pull DEI from the website because it was hosted by the government. We’re in the process of moving to a new host so we can bring it back up.
