I literally include it in my daily calls: “if I had elected Republican representatives I’d direct my ire to them, but I don’t, I have you, and I need you to do more, because if I’m going to vote for you again we need to remain a democracy long enough to have another election.”

One reason we yell at Democratic electeds is because a lot of us live in blue states and THEY'RE OUR REPS. So of course we yell at them when they do a bad job; that's what we do in a democracy! If we had R reps, we'd yell at them, but we've got these Ds, and a lot of them are blowing it.
